In response to COVID-19, Massachusetts will be expanding vote by mail, allowing any registered voter to cast a ballot from the safety and convenience of home in addition to in-person voting.
VOTE BY MAIL - It's Easy!
STEP ONE: Apply to receive a ballot in the mail! All registered voters will receive the postcard size application (with return postage prepaid) in the mail around July 15th. You can also download the application here.
STEP TWO: Once your application is mailed back, look for your ballot in your mailbox in August!
STEP THREE: Fill out your ballot and return it in the provided postage pre-paid
envelope or hand deliver to your local clerk’s office. Some locations may also
have drop boxes. Ballots must be received (not postmarked) by 8 p.m. on
VOTE IN PERSON
OPTION TWO: You can cast an early vote from August 22nd to the 28th, including the weekend of August 22/23! You can vote at your local clerk’s office or any designated early voting location. Check your local clerk’s website for hours and locations.
OPTION THREE: You can also vote on primary election day – September 1st – from 7 am to 8 pm. Because of COVID-19, poll locations may have changed since the last time you voted so check your clerk’s website.
