VOTE ON PRIMARY DAY TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1

If you have already received your mail in ballot:

Due to COVID-19 and Postal Service delays, we are recommending mail in ballots be submitted in person at drop boxes so they are received by September 1.

You can deposit your ballot at any time before 8pm on Election Day, Tuesday, September 1st, in your community’s drop box or hand it in at your Clerk’s office.
 
NOTE: You can NOT drop your ballot off at you polling location. You MUST bring to City / Town Hall and put in Drop Box or turn in at Clerk’s office.
 
If you’ve already mailed in your ballot, you can track your ballot here to make sure it was received. If it is not marked “Accepted” call your Clerk’s office to check. If they have not received it, you can vote in person on Election Day, Tuesday, September 1st, between 7am and 8pm.

STEP TWO: MAKE YOUR VOTING PLAN

In response to COVID-19, Massachusetts will be expanding vote by mail, allowing any registered voter to cast a ballot from the safety and convenience of home in addition to in-person voting.

VOTE EARLY IN PERSON (SATURDAY, AUGUST 22-28)

You can cast an early vote from Saturday, August 22 through Friday, August 28, including the weekend of August 22 and 23!

You can also cast an absentee ballot in person at your local clerk’s office during business hours from August 3rd through noon on August 31st.

VOTE ON PRIMARY DAY TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 1

VOTE BY MAIL - It's Easy!

STEP ONE: Apply to receive a ballot in the mail!  If you need an application you can download the application here.   Mail it to or drop it off at your local clerk’s office or take a picture and email it to your clerk!  Apply now to make sure the clerk receives your application by August 26 at 5 pm.

STEP TWO: When your ballot arrives, fill it out and return it in the provided postage pre-paid envelope or hand deliver to your local clerk’s office. Some locations may also
have drop boxes.  Ballots must be received (not postmarked) by 8 p.m. on
September 1st.

STEP THREE:   You can track your ballot here to make sure it was received. 

Because of COVID-19, poll locations may have changed since the last time you voted so check the Secretary of the Commonwealth’s website here.

VOTE IN PERSON

OPTION ONE: You can cast an absentee ballot in person at your local clerk’s office during business hours from August 3rd through noon on August 31st,
